B-17G Flying Fortress - A bit of lace model

These authentic and detailed wooden models are reproduced in kiln dried Mahogany. Each is carved, joined and sanded by hand. The deep, rich finish is created by the application of up to 35 coats of enamel. The artist then hand paints all of the details onto each model ensuring the finished model is a beautiful authentic wooden aircraft.

Every model comes with its own desk stand and name plate and is the perfect gift for all aviation enthusiasts.

This model is of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 'A Bit of Lace', no. K - 297976 of 709 Bomber Squadron, 447 Bomber group USAAF, Rattlesden, Norfolk, 1945. The aircraft completed 83 bombing missions during the Second World War.
